Raury isn’t a large mainstream voice in hip-hop at the moment. So I’m going to make a few introductory posts for his music. I’m going to showcase the 5 most essential songs in Raury’s catalog, in my humble opinion. # 2 God’s Whisper Raury‘s first big single off his debut project, God’s Whisper has proven to have some staying power. I always find myself coming back to give this song a listen. This excellently produced track features a very interesting mix of folk instrumentation, with a hip-hop delivery. The track sounds very spacious with its vocal effects. At the same time, the chorus feels big and full. I don’t think I’ve heard a track quite like this until I listened to Raury. The song is definitely worth checking out.
