Audio Frequency So audio frequency is very important to any form of audio mixing. The terms listed below are very useful for communicating different pitches in music. You can commonly find them on any equalizer or DJ mixer you might use. (need post made about what these things are, mike’s thoughts) The three main audio frequencies are approximately Lows/Bass 20 – 32 hz Mids/ Midrange 32hz – 1,300 hz Highs/Treble 1,300 – 22,000 hz These terms approximately correlate with the frequency of the audio signal. These are just approximations and general boundaries. To put this simply low pitch sounds like a tuba, are low frequency. High pitched sounds like cymbals, are high frequency.
