Proto Work : Which of the Great Eye Techniques is the Strongest

Our earlier work, we put this out so you guys can get an idea of our trails in getting use to each other and formatting for the vids. I believe we are much better at it now, it was not easy. I am normally super tired as I have to say awake (for days at a time) editing people’s work in such a way you don’t notice my hand(hopefully). Organizing and orienting all the work, creating ideas for new work, plus creating individual work for myself. Its all tedious so please bare with my hoarse voice in the vids. As for Absolute Zero, he’s a prepared guy, who preps well. It was hard for him to get use to speaking on animanga topics. I believe he’s come along way(not that far but its a step in the right direction). So please enjoy our earlier work and…

Thanks for viewing this.

MusicTalks, is MF Doom’s lack of social media skills helping or hurting him

Music Talks podcast 1 segment: Is MF Doom’s lack of social media skills helping or hurting him as an artist.

In this segment of Musictalks we go over, is MF Doom’s current market practices actually helpful or hurtful. Absolute Zero wanted to attend one of his concerts and could not because by the time he had found out about it the concert was finished. This is not new, however in the past I have heard a few argue that Doom’s lack of marketing is what makes him sell more.

Other things to be discusses is other antics or things MF Doom has done in the past, has this hurt his brand. Does these things compound to in the long run destroy Doom’s career. Its an interesting talk, be sure to listen, hope you enjoy.

Why Half the Crowd Left a Kendrick Lamar Concert and What that Says About Rap Radio?

Kendrick-Lamar-Skyrockets-to-Top-of-Artist-100-FDRMX

Thursday, October 22, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn we had the Power 105’s Powerhouse Concert. The show featured a lot of incredibly popular radio acts such as Meek Mill, Fetty Wap, Big Sean, Rick Ross, and Future. They also had R&B acts (yes those still exist) such as Jidenna, Omarion, and Jeremih performing . The one act there that I haven’t mentioned as of yet that doesn’t fit in this line up, Kendrick Lamar.  Kendrick Lamar was the top billed headliner for this event.

Kendrick was the closer for this show. He performed after Future, who performed to a packed stadium. Surprisingly people chose to leave the stadium in the thousands rather than stay for Kendrick’s performance.  By the time Kendrick made it onto the stage half of the audience was gone. Why, did this happen?

Capital 6 – Summer Jelly Vol 2 – Album Review

| | No comments yet | Tags: , , , , , , , , , ,

Capital Jelly 2 Cover

Cap 6, Cap 6 !!! We back in here, and I’m glad to say that I have a new full length from Capital 6 to review, Summer Jelly Vol 2. Capital 6 is a dope collective of lyricists coming out of Tallahasse. Crew member Intricate explains perfectly how to describe the sound of Capital 6 in his track “Heads Up”. Here he delivers the lines “My crew lane is like the Pharcyde meets Wu-Tang”.

You have Crimson who delivers so many bars in each line sometimes, I wonder how he is even breathing. Even more amazing, Crimson has the uncanny ability to stay perfectly in pocket . You have an Intricate, intense aggressive lyricist who has some of the most quotable bars and rhyme schemes out of any one in the crew.

You have Donny Bransco, who without a doubt has the hypest choruses of anyone in the crew. Don’t let that hype box him in, Donny is no stranger to singing on his tracks as well. You have Rob Ohtis who sings the most in the crew. He has one of the dopest outlooks on love and life I’ve ever heard on wax. Finally you have Hakeem Furious ,who is like the ODB of the crew. I’ve listened to a lot of hip-hop and I’ve never heard anyone with a style like this dude, he comes from somewhere else, but it’s always dope none the less.

Summer Jelly Vol. 1
Summer Jelly Vol. 1

Now that I have the crew introduced let’s get back into this review. It has been quite a while since we have seen a true Capital 6 project. The individual members of Capital 6 have been slowly releasing music. We haven’t had a proper Capital 6 project since August 2014. Which although that isn’t that long ago, the group has grown a lot in that time span. Since the Release of Summer Jelly , we have seen Cap 6 develop. They have improved their songwriting, they have better production, and more individuality between the group members. With all of all the improvements that the group has made before.  I can’t help but feel this is going to produce much better results now and into the future. I was really excited to listen to this album.

Mac Miller – GO:OD AM – Album Review

| | No comments yet | Tags: , , , , , ,

1425x1425sr
Today we will look at  Mac Miller’s project GO:OD AM. The tile which can read either  good AM or go O.D. AM. This is a very fitting title for project. As the project is filled with down tempo, and dreamy reverb soaked sounds. The whole project feels like your either falling asleep or just waking up stuck in the twilight. Either that or you get the feeling that your wide awake and your world is slowing down due to the drugs you’ve just taken, which is something that Mac Miller isn’t shy to reference.
