I got this video from JaredC1991’s Channel. I honestly don’t know if Jared composed this video breaking down Criss Angel‘s deception. It’s a very well down video and I am thankful that I was able to watch it.
I will for a short moment however play devil’s advocate. Criss Angel is a magician. They are in the field of trickier and illusion. So when Criss Angel states that he ‘doesn’t hide anything, what you see is what you get.’ Technically he is not lying. His tricks deceive your eyes, to perform conventional magic he must hide and deceive the mind. When you watch the program what you are seeing is what you are getting. The principals of film has similarities to magic, so its not that big of leap for Criss Angel.
I more understand if Criss Angel claimed to have actual real extra natural abilities. However I don’t think he does but I’m probably wrong as I do not follow Criss Angel.
Stepping away from the devil’s advocate role, I don’t think that like what Criss Angel has done on principal. I get why he does it, to stand out and have a unique proposition. People should be able to use their mental facilitates and discern the simple truths based on the very open and public knowledge of Criss Angel‘s professional field. Still, to say something is unstaged, or transparent and it is not, to fake genuine awe from an audience, while not new is a practice that is distasteful.
I am thankful that I have seen this video and I my thanks to the person that composed it. Thanks to Jared for hosting it, it is appreciated.
