Top Ten Artists to Listen too if you want more Andre 3000 – Artist # 7  “I like Andre 3000, judging by his history and appeal many of you like Andre as well. The problem is that there is only one Andre 3000. However Absolute Zero has created a list of other acts that do not just imitate style(that’s not Hip Hop), no they have a similar soul and vibe that naturally remind you of Andre. This is an intro to a score of artists you may not be familiar with, that could be substitutes for Andre. Hope you like the number 7 artist on this list and I hope you like  next artist to come, thanks so much for reading.” Rj Knight     # 7

Sideshow JDGB track ” Go up” — Check out song from Sideshow JDGB, I like this song. I was going through the Hip Hop groups and I came across the song. It was a better song that most of the songs that littered the slots in the groups. I wanted to to share this song because well, I think it has a pop flavor. I can see a good amount of people liking this song if they get the chance to hear it.

Introduction to Raury

| | No comments yet | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Raury isn’t a large mainstream voice in hip-hop at the moment. So I’m going to make a few introductory posts for his music. I’m going to showcase the 5 most essential songs in Raury’s catalog, in my humble opinion.

Absolute Zero Return To the starting point: Blog #5 part 2

Absolute Zero Return To the starting point: Blog #5 part 2 – I’m finally at the starting point. I finally started to get good enough at writing to move forward with the website. So today I met with RJ to get the blog back up. If your reading this than you know the meeting was a success. With the style of hip-hop Immortal Technique  employs it makes having such an intimate crowd play off well. The venue fits about 500 people and once we got parked and got settled it was almost full. The bar had a nice setup. The bar was on one half of the building and the other half  was a dedicated area for a stage. The stage looked really nice, I would love a chance to rock it up there.

Absolute Zero Return To the starting point: Blog #5 part 1 – I’m finally at the starting point. I finally started to get good enough at writing to move forward with the website. So today I met with RJ to get the blog back up. If your reading this than you know the meeting was a success. So today was a big day for me. Immortal Technique was performing in Miami and I was looking forward to the concert. I had my tickets printed from the day before. I had pretty much everything ready to go and in place. I didn’t want to have any problems getting to the show, and I definitely wasn’t trying to be late. After helping my Aunt out a bit with some computer problems she was having, I started getting dressed for the Immortal Technique concert. It was already five o’clock and the show started at 8. I needed to start getting moving. The show was a considerable drive away, especially considering I had to pick up RJ first. While literally about to leave the door, my mom tells me that her car broke down in front of the house. She wanted a jump start, Read More…

Cyba – She Works So Hard – great song

| | No comments yet | Tags: , , , , ,

–       This song by Cyba, personally is amazing. I like the fusion of different styles of music and eras in the song makes it surpassing. The Soul, the Funk, the Blues, the Reggae and Hip Hop all merge so well to create a conscious, touching sound. I like good music; I don’t really have a specific type. I guess… I just like for the music to have soul, if I really think about it.

Absolute Zero Return To the starting point: Blog #4 I’m finally at the starting point. I finally started to get good enough at writing to move forward with the website. So today I met with RJ to get the blog back up. If your reading this than you know the meeting was a success. Man my sleep schedule is messed up. I woke up today at 4 AM to write more blog entries. I didn’t even plan to go to sleep. I feel asleep writing at my desk. I woke up at like midnight and slid into my bed. I might be borderline narcoleptic. I can fall asleep almost anywhere.  At least I’ve never fallen asleep while driving.

Absolute Zero Return To the starting point: Blog #3 – I’m finally at the starting point. I finally started to get good enough at writing to move forward with the website. So today I met with RJ to get the blog back up. If your reading this than you know the meeting was a success.     I started the day helping out my grandmother. She is one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met. She was born and raised in Jamaica and has a lot of strong principles about her. She works hard and is never the type to hold her tongue, even when it might get her in trouble. I don’t know if she does this consciously (like fuck the consequences) or unconsciously but she is a character. She needed some help on the computer and I helped her do what she needed to do. After I was finished I had to leave immediately. I got a job offer and I needed to hand in my social security card. unfortunately I misplaced it and I spent literally all of yesterday day searching for it. I made it out to the Guitar Center and after a while was Read More…

Quick Introduction to MD Ness (hard worker)

| | 1 comment | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Quick Introduction to MD Ness   MD Ness, is an artist that I have met on Facebook and boy is she something else. I mean, she is very hard working. I work very hard; I stay up sometimes two to three days on 4 hours or no sleep(sadly). One of the constants that I notice, is MD Ness promoting online(it re-motivates me sometimes). She’s so amazing that she doesn’t just do for herself, she does for others as well. That was one of the traits about her that I liked. When I spoke to her, it was further emphasized because she mentioned and give the people that she knew the credit first (friends in the field she  credited and supported always first). She seems like a really loyal person and it is very moving. Sometimes, I’m on a 4 AM and MD Ness is promoting a slew of people. Sincerely I hope that her people take care of her. Its really hard to find someone who has similar drive and is that loyal. I think every group needs atleast one MD Ness.

Kraz, and how about I get the juice

Kraz, and how about I get the juice   Honestly I don’t know alot about Kraz, I more or less stumbled unto him on Facebook. I heard his song ” I Got The Juice” , and thought it was a good song. To be honest, if I didn’t read that Kraz was from New York, I would have sworn he was a southern rapper. I don’t have a problem with this, some people seem to excessively hate this trend. Why, well there is alot of reasons, if you are rapping for money as your drive then it makes sense to orient with what is hot. It doesn’t make sense to get mad about it but then love Jay-Z(or loved Jay-Z until the recent cool down).

Jay – Z We Don’t Need Another Streaming Service

Jay-Z‘s music streaming service Tidal is not what the music listeners are asking for. Currently the market for music steaming services is already overcrowded. We have Spotify, Youtube, Google Play, and iTunes  already firmly established in  the market. If you’re going to enter into the already crowded music streaming market your going to need a unique selling point. Tidal doesn’t seem to have strong unique selling point. The ones that it does have don’t seem compelling enough for customers to want to migrate platforms for. Other platforms have huge inherent advantages over tidal. Unless Jay-Z has a trump card to deliver more value, Tidal is doomed.

Backpack Beatz – Mochilla – Album Review

Backpack Beatz – Mochilla – Album Review   Backpack Beatz released his first rap album under his current name “Mochilla”. For any of you Spanish speakers you will notice that the title is spanish for backpack. Backpack takes the word and pronounces it “Moe – Chill – A”. This goes a long way towards describing the somber feeling of the album. Backpack Beatz is a Producer/ Rapper/DJ from Pensacola, Florida. The first time I met Backpack was in 2011. At that time he was rapping under the name “Livin Proof” and producing under Backpack Beatz. I heard his first released at that time, a project called “Ramen and Fruit Punch“. Backpack produced this entire album himself. You can easily compare him to other producer/rappers such as Kanye West, Big K.R.I.T. , and J. Cole.
