Hip-Hop RPG Episode 1

I did some audio consultation and sound effects for the youtube series “The Hip- Hop RPG“. This series created by  Dom (of the DSC youtube channel) focuses on a fictional story of a time traveling Kendrick Lamar fighting Illuminati aliens. Basically the idea is to create a parody of Final Fantasy and modern day Hip-Hop. Dom was heavily influenced by Final Fantasy VII when he was young, and his podcast puts him into the world of Hip-Hop on a regular basis. Being the talented visual artist and creator he is, The Hip-Hop RPG married these two worlds together.  Dom reached out to me for help with some sound effects and audio selection. I was more than glad to help. I’ve always been a big fan of his channel, and I feel he is an incredibly talented artist. He always stresses hard work and it shows in his end product.

Music Thoughts : Frank Ocean is Back But Will He Have The Same Reach   Music Thoughts: Is Frank Ocean still the man, he had a lot of steam off Odd Future, help from major star power like Jay Z, Beyonce, etc, and the media misunderstanding him by stating he was the first openly gay rapper ((???))-So with all of that will Frank Ocean have the same reach     Rj Knight Context    Frank Ocean is an R & B singer who raps. His music is very lyrical, which if viewed from a rapper perspective would be very impressive. His work ethic has seeming dimmed somewhat since his last project. Which showcases some contrast to the work ethic of his peers and co-workers, Kanye West and Jay Z. This has prompted Absolute Zero to ask a very serious question about Frank Ocean‘s ability to sell.        Productive momentum and positive externalities are two things that while may not have a direct 1 to 1 relation(every time), indeed do still have relation. What this statement means can be conveyed through contextual association. Frank Ocean has been a work horse in the music industry behind the Read More…

Why Half the Crowd Left a Kendrick Lamar Concert and What that Says About Rap Radio?

Thursday, October 22, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn we had the Power 105’s Powerhouse Concert. The show featured a lot of incredibly popular radio acts such as Meek Mill, Fetty Wap, Big Sean, Rick Ross, and Future. They also had R&B acts (yes those still exist) such as Jidenna, Omarion, and Jeremih performing . The one act there that I haven’t mentioned as of yet that doesn’t fit in this line up, Kendrick Lamar.  Kendrick Lamar was the top billed headliner for this event. Related Post:Why Can’t the Biggest Sellers in Hip-Hop top the Hip-Hop Charts(coming soon) Kendrick was the closer for this show. He performed after Future, who performed to a packed stadium. Surprisingly people chose to leave the stadium in the thousands rather than stay for Kendrick’s performance.  By the time Kendrick made it onto the stage half of the audience was gone. Why, did this happen?
