With this pick I’m changing up the trend of the list. All of the artist I’ve featured so far have debuted within the last five years or so. Cee Lo on the other hand, Debuted with Goodie Mob in 1995(when I was 4). Since then Cee Lo actually has had quite a prolific career. In addition to working with Goodie Mob he also delivered solo projects and joined forces with (the legendary) Danger Mouse to form Gnarles Barkly.
I see Cee Lo as a singer, who occasionally raps. He does both well, and I feel like this made him almost the antithesis of Andre 3000. Andre was primarily a rapper who occasionally sang. Yet also did both exceptionally well. With Cee-Lo you can expect to get a heavy dose of soulful singing, and an occasional impassioned rap verse.
