Easily their Open Mic Thursday weekly shows are arguably the best in Greater Miami. If anyone knows a better place,please feel free to notify me. Its all around better for the collective arts community and I would definitely like to promote such a place, right beside the place I am talking about now called Artistic Vibes. One of the key reasons I think Artistic Vibes is the one of the best if not the best spot in Miami is the supportive family vibe that is present within the organization. Tremendous talent walks in and resides within the venue. It is an extremely impressive collection but the ability to cultivate and develop talent is an especially important feature in Open Mic events. Artistic Vibes’s ReVerb presents LOVE SICK I’ll most probably be at this event tonight. Sorry, I couldn’t tell you guys about it sooner because well, I found about it on performance night (last Thursday). I have been a bit busy(similar stuff to the past but I am doing my best to change it). I can say that if this event is half as good as Artistic Vibes weekly open mic, that is on Thursday; Reverb will be really good, because the events on Thursdays for me have been great. I have not been able to do a Spotlight on Artistic Vibes but I will. The talent their is amazing and the host is wow, Quills Rodriguez (follow her cause you probably follow less talented people, lol) is amazing MC, just so funny(I always find jokes just on and multi-layered which is important). Then her improvisational skills are just top notch, hard for me to think of better people in that area. Quick Introduction to Artist Muju, I like these works alot ——————————————————————————- Muju (Follow)is an incredible artist, honestly wish I was this good. I really like the fan art, so much that I became a fan of the fan art(JK but bad JK). What really caught me was honestly the Princess Mononoke image(I’ll show later).
Alterna comics, 10 years and looks cool – – Saw Alterna Comics on Twitter and I was like wow, this looks cool. I re-tweeted it instantly. I checked out a bit more of it and yeah, Alterna is cool. It has universe creation, something as a writer and artist, I respect and admire. The art work is clearly better than mine(I stopped and don’t practice but I could never color). I really like to check out the skill that another artist employs in their field and the guys at Alterna are definitely skilled. Looking for a comic verse to read because hey you might want something new.
Mercy Sparx: Omnibus Collection – I noticed this project while I was online and I was interested in helping to promote it and bring it to others attentions. I have goals to do similar work, and it brings joy to my heart to esp help someone in the field. This comic looks pretty good, the artwork seems amazing and the story seems to be catching. Its really hard in our field, I honestly hope you guys like this simple introduction. Please support their work if you can, you can donate to their project monetarily. If you don’t have funds you can still help, I know as artist we generally really love it when you give us feed back and share our work with others. Kraz, and how about I get the juice Honestly I don’t know alot about Kraz, I more or less stumbled unto him on Facebook. I heard his song ” I Got The Juice” , and thought it was a good song. To be honest, if I didn’t read that Kraz was from New York, I would have sworn he was a southern rapper. I don’t have a problem with this, some people seem to excessively hate this trend. Why, well there is alot of reasons, if you are rapping for money as your drive then it makes sense to orient with what is hot. It doesn’t make sense to get mad about it but then love Jay-Z(or loved Jay-Z until the recent cool down).
Backpack Beatz – Mochilla – Album Review Backpack Beatz released his first rap album under his current name “Mochilla”. For any of you Spanish speakers you will notice that the title is spanish for backpack. Backpack takes the word and pronounces it “Moe – Chill – A”. This goes a long way towards describing the somber feeling of the album. Backpack Beatz is a Producer/ Rapper/DJ from Pensacola, Florida. The first time I met Backpack was in 2011. At that time he was rapping under the name “Livin Proof” and producing under Backpack Beatz. I heard his first released at that time, a project called “Ramen and Fruit Punch“. Backpack produced this entire album himself. You can easily compare him to other producer/rappers such as Kanye West, Big K.R.I.T. , and J. Cole.
Robson-journey to the center and keep you forever — Impression of all of Robson’s Tracks I am going to write my ultimate impression from listening to Robson’s Tracks. I have listened to his singles and I have told my feelings about them each time. That doesn’t mean because I like something as a single or in singles that I share similar feelings about it as a whole. In fact many times people are surprised about my conclusions. They would assume that because I like something, I like everything about it and it has no flaws. That is very rare for me, as usually I am told “you rate too hard”. Now, maybe because I’ve only been sleeping an average of 3 hours a day(lucky week), It’s possible that my judgement might be slightly impaired. Manny The Poet Quick Introduction to a fellow poet that I had the pleasure of meeting on Thursday(12,10, 2015) named Manny. I met him at a place called Artistic Vibes , great place by the way. I went their support and basically do the work that Absolute Zero can’t. I also was going to perform if possible. Its been a long time since I have been on stage. So, the trade off was decided because Ab Zero could not do the things that I could do if the need arose at the location. I honestly did not expect it to be as great as it was, the talent level was all really high. Behind me was Manny, I honestly thought he was more than a spectator, but I did not know he was an act. I thought maybe he was friends with management and worked in some capacity with them. When Manny got on stage he did not wilt or perform a set inferior in way, shape or form to the diverse array of talented acts that preceded him. He performed Naturally, which was really good.
