Extended Introduction to JRed – Before The Fame – Album Review

| | No comments yet | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

I first heard Jred at the Hip Hop 4 Flint Charity Event. This was a charity event to raise money for the people of Flint Michigan after their drinking water crisis. At the event I heard Jred perform a nice set. Jred performed a set full of trap flavored bangers. His performance was high energy. Jred danced his way across the stage while playing heavy beats. This all came together for a fun show.   Jred       I got a chance to listen too Jred‘s full length project “Before The Fame”. My initial impression of Jred is that he is a rapper who is most comfortable making slightly dark, trap influenced bangers. Jred talks a lot about drugs, a lot about his swagger, and a lot about his grind on this project.

Absolute Zero : Impressions 2 (Music video) Video for “Impressions 2” . This is the second music video I ever made. I really love the juxtaposition of the floating heads and the background. When I came up with the concept for the video I wanted to show that we are playing around, while serious things are happening else where. -Lyrics

Absolute Zero – Things I Control – Music Video Here is the music Video for “Things I Control“. I’m proud of this video, I made it along with my good friend Network. I don’t know how many people fully digested what my lyrics are about on this track. The track has a simple concept, but its easy to overlook if your not paying attention. I really enjoyed making this video. It was really fun to be dark and mysterious for a night. Lyrics

Rj’s Response : Absolute Zero’s Music Thought on Frank Ocean’s Reach

This is Rj Knight with a response to Absolute Zero’s Music Thought “Music Thoughts : Frank Ocean is Back But Will He Have The Same Reach“. In my Rj Context, I made it easier to understand and perceive the Frank Ocean situation for those who do not know or understand the topic and subject matter (type of music, audience, time period, etc). Also It helps those who might not fully remember the events of yester year to properly put the question into context and form a personal opinion and or conclusion. In that I tried t stay as neutral as possible to Absolute Zero‘s question, ultimately will Frank Ocean have the same reach? I will now proceed to respond and answer to some degree that question.  —(read Rj Context, for information to response)     —        Frank Ocean will probably not have the same reach has he did previously. There are many factors working against him, and are making it difficult for Frank Ocean to achieve similar levels of success. Despite this I think that Frank Ocean has the ability (albeit low chance) to achieve close to previous levels. Even if Frank Ocean does not reach his Read More…

Music Thoughts : Frank Ocean is Back But Will He Have The Same Reach(Rj Knight context)

| | No comments yet | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Music Thoughts : Frank Ocean is Back But Will He Have The Same Reach   Music Thoughts: Is Frank Ocean still the man, he had a lot of steam off Odd Future, help from major star power like Jay Z, Beyonce, etc, and the media misunderstanding him by stating he was the first openly gay rapper ((???))-So with all of that will Frank Ocean have the same reach     Rj Knight Context    Frank Ocean is an R & B singer who raps. His music is very lyrical, which if viewed from a rapper perspective would be very impressive. His work ethic has seeming dimmed somewhat since his last project. Which showcases some contrast to the work ethic of his peers and co-workers, Kanye West and Jay Z. This has prompted Absolute Zero to ask a very serious question about Frank Ocean‘s ability to sell.        Productive momentum and positive externalities are two things that while may not have a direct 1 to 1 relation(every time), indeed do still have relation. What this statement means can be conveyed through contextual association. Frank Ocean has been a work horse in the music industry behind the Read More…

The Spotlight: Music Talks Acey Ace  I first heard Ace Acey at Props and Bonds (check out my experience at Props & Bonds). I was surprised by how good he was that night. He had a great performance and I actually liked his content, so did the crowd.   – Please Play this song “Lemonade”-   When he got on stage I was not expecting much, honestly. I was just waiting until I could hear the guys I came to support such as Don Julio(see other for info).  I once again will re-iterate, I was surprised, I mean pleasantly surprised with the talent that he demonstrated. It raised the bar for the rest of the performances for me. It has also elevated my view of future performances from Props and Bonds(what I saw that night was pretty amazing, more about it here). He performed three songs, which from his album(later found out and link to it can be found at bottom support) Blue & Red. I can’t remember the third, so many stuff has happened to me since(good and bad, plus the struggle to get these articles, while getting people to do their work). So forgive me forgetting one of Read More…

Top Ten Artists to Listen too if you want more Andre 3000 – Artist # 1  “I like Andre 3000, judging by his history and appeal many of you like Andre as well. The problem is that there is only one Andre 3000. However Absolute Zero has created a list of other acts that do not just imitate style(that’s not Hip Hop), no they have a similar soul and vibe that naturally remind you of Andre. This is an intro to a score of artists you may not be familiar with, that could be substitutes for Andre. Hope you like the number 1 artists on this list and I hope you like  next artist to come, thanks so much for reading.” Rj Knight     # 1
