I first heard Jred at the Hip Hop 4 Flint Charity Event. This was a charity event to raise money for the people of Flint Michigan after their drinking water crisis. At the event I heard Jred perform a nice set. Jred performed a set full of trap flavored bangers. His performance was high energy. Jred danced his way across the stage while playing heavy beats. This all came together for a fun show. Jred I got a chance to listen too Jred‘s full length project “Before The Fame”. My initial impression of Jred is that he is a rapper who is most comfortable making slightly dark, trap influenced bangers. Jred talks a lot about drugs, a lot about his swagger, and a lot about his grind on this project.

His music is very lyrical, which if viewed from a rapper perspective would be very impressive. His work ethic has seeming dimmed somewhat since his last project. Music Quest Log: Ending up at Props and Bonds to show some support for local artist Another event day int the music quest logs.- I had alot to do before I even got to Saturday Mic Live event. It was quite the build up from the week before (see Music Quest Intro). I arrived to the event, to support a few of the artist that I had seen perform the week prior. I was in for a nice surprise this time around because alot of things happened at this event which made it the local Hip Hop event of the month. The Spotlight: Music Talks Acey Ace I first heard Ace Acey at Props and Bonds (check out my experience at Props & Bonds). I was surprised by how good he was that night. He had a great performance and I actually liked his content, so did the crowd. – Please Play this song “Lemonade”- When he got on stage I was not expecting much, honestly. I was just waiting until I could hear the guys I came to support such as Don Julio(see other for info). I once again will re-iterate, I was surprised, I mean pleasantly surprised with the talent that he demonstrated. It raised the bar for the rest of the performances for me. It has also elevated my view of future performances from Props and Bonds(what I saw that night was pretty amazing, more about it here).
